About The Position

We are looking for a motivated, tech-savvy IT Intern to join our IT department. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate IT operations, hardware lifecycle management, and end-user support across multiple HELP USA office locations in the New York City metro area and Upstate New York. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure our staff at various sites have the tools they need to stay productive.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (for moving equipment and desktop setups).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory/Entra ID or basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Hardware Deployment: Assist with unboxing, imaging, and setting up new laptops (Windows) and peripherals.
  • Asset Management: Help maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware, including tagging equipment and updating our asset database.
  • Desktop Support: Provide basic troubleshooting for common issues involving Microsoft 365, printers, and connectivity.
  • Office Maintenance: Assist in setting up workstations, conference room AV equipment, and cable management.
