About The Position

The IT Infrastructure Admin is responsible for maintaining the Information Technology (IT) Data Center Infrastructure within all Orlando Health facilities. Thisrole performs a variety oftasksincluding monitoring, backup remediation, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and protection of the organization’s server infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Associate’s degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
  • Four (4) years of directly related work experience may also substitute for the Bachelor’s degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft server technologies or desktop in a domain environment, along with broad experience and understanding of networking services, enterprise backup technology, server virtualization, and malicious protection software required.

Responsibilities

  • Configures, maintains, patches, troubleshoots, and repairs servers as necessary to ensure data accessibility, functionality, and resiliency.
  • Supports systems, servers, and their related databases and applications on day-to-day issues, as well as performs upgrades and scheduled maintenance.
  • Writes and maintains technical documentation including standards, configurations, and procedures.
  • Works closely with all IT teams as needed to coordinate effective problem resolution and service restoration.
  • Consistently responds to monitoring alerts and takes appropriate action.
  • Works with vendorsto efficiently resolve incidents and seesthe case end-to-end.
  • Maintains Service Desk tickets updated to align with IT goals.
  • Provides complex analysis and evaluation ofsystems, processes, and workflowsto ensure corporate system needs are met in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Inventories and correctsrecords of all Data Center assetsin (Cherwell, CMDB, DCtrack, etc).
  • Shift variesto support the needs of the businessto have an operational 24x7x365 data center.
  • Efficient in providing Data Center support, client-server hardware support, printing services, Windows desktop and Server Administration, virtualization administration, and basic Voice and Networking.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Performs performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of server, database and system utility resources following department standards.
  • Analyzes and assistsin defining disasterrecovery responsibilities and procedures.
  • Supports new infrastructure initiatives as requested.
  • Keepsinformed on latest developments and standardsin the server management field and leading industry technology solutions.
  • Maintains current knowledge of HIPAA, privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Mentors Service Desk, Field Support and other IT team members as needed.
  • Assist in Storage Area Network maintenance or upgrades.
  • Independently serve periods of on-call coverage atscheduled intervals.
  • May be required to support unplanned events during after-hours and weekends.
  • Complete yearly rounding and training requirementsto align with IT goals.
