We are currently seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician II to join our team in Hillsborough, NJ. As an IT Helpdesk Technician II, you will provide day-to-day IT support for all internal clients and work closely with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to keep systems running smoothly. This role focuses on onsite support, equipment setup, inventory tracking, and coordination of onboarding and offboarding activities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical operations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Windows operating systems, and basic hardware troubleshooting
  • Experience with laptop setup/imaging, user account provisioning, and equipment inventory tracking
  • Strong customer service mindset with clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50+ pounds as needed
  • Willingness to travel between New Jersey and Pennsylvania office locations
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to provide occasional after-hours or weekend support when required

Responsibilities

  • Complete IT tickets that require onsite support such as equipment setup, configuration changes, minor cabling.
  • Follow up with the MSP on open or delayed tickets to ensure timely resolution.
  • Update tickets with clear notes and status changes to ensure accurate tracking and communication
  • Track and manage IT inventory by logging equipment when received, deployed, or returned.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by coordinating with HR and the MSP, including laptop/hardware setup, account setup/license assignment, mobile device setup.
  • Participate in vendor calls and help coordinate invoices with Accounts Payable.
  • Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery activities, such as delivering or setting up equipment at office locations.
  • Support on-site visits related to IT projects, equipment installs, relocations, and vendor evaluations.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend availability may be required for urgent IT issues
