About The Position

IT Help Desk Technician 1st Shift - Millennium Space Systems Company: Millennium Space Systems Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. The IT Help Desk Technician will provide technical support and assistance to Millennium employees and contractors, whether on the phone or in person. This role’s primary goal is to ensure a client's satisfaction and ability to properly operate any PC or technology they may be having trouble using. This role requires the ability to work first shift. This position's internal job code is Technical Support - Help Desk. Our team is currently hiring for level 2.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or 5+ years of experience working in a help desk role
  • Proficiency with Dell Computers utilizing Windows 10/11
  • 1 or more years of managing Help Desk tickets
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer, mobile devices, conference room AV equipment and printer technical issues
  • This position requires the ability to lift more than 25 lbs.
  • Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
  • Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely and organized manner using Service Now ticketing system
  • Support customer issues onsite, via phone, email, and computer chat to provide customer assistance
  • Documenting customer interactions in Service Now.
  • Run diagnostics to resolve customer reported issues
  • Experience supporting new employee (Onboarding)
  • Escalate issues as needed to the next Tier of IT support
  • Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved
