About The Position

eBacon is looking for an IT Help Desk Technician I who is enthusiastic about technology, strong with customer support, and ready to grow. We prefer candidates with prior IT help desk experience, but we are also open to motivated entry-level applicants who have a solid technical foundation and a passion for troubleshooting. This role offers hands-on work across hardware, software, networking, and system administration — along with direct mentorship from our Director of IT to help you build your skills and advance your career.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Solid troubleshooting and critical thinking ability
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of equipment

  • Employment is contingent upon the ability to provide documentation verifying identity and authorization to work in the U.S. in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous IT help desk or technical support experience
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems
  • Experience with imaging, Active Directory, or M365 admin
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications
  • Coursework or self-taught experience (home labs, side projects, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to internal staff for hardware, software, and peripheral issues
  • Document tickets thoroughly in our ticketing system
  • Configure, image, and deploy computers and required applications
  • Set up accounts, permissions, and email access for new users
  • Assist with routine server and system maintenance tasks under supervision
  • Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues
  • Maintain IT equipment inventory
  • Support day‑to-day technology needs across the company
  • Participate in IT projects and improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with — and be mentored by — our Director of IT
