About The Position

An IT Field Service Technician provides on -site technical support to users by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and network equipment. This role involves traveling to client locations or company sites to resolve technical issues and ensure systems operate efficiently.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems (Windows, macOS)
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN, Wi -Fi, routers, switches)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem -solving skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver’s license (for travel to job sites)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or certification in Information Technology or related field
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
  • Prior experience in a help desk or field service role

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues
  • Provide on -site technical support to end users
  • Set up user accounts, email, and access permissions
  • Perform routine system maintenance and updates
  • Replace or repair faulty equipment
  • Document service calls, repairs, and solutions
  • Escalate complex issues to higher -level IT support when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards
