About The Position

The IT Field Service Technician Lead is responsible for will provide local IT support services for assigned Allegion facilities. This role focuses on improving support methodologies for manufacturing support in labor reduction, cost reduction, security, reliability, key feature and technological improvements and integrations, standardization, M&A integrations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Requirements

  • Supporting technical degree and certifications are preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience supporting Manufacturing and Office environments, specifically, a high level functional and technical working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Apple OSX, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Software (SharePoint, Skype/Teams, Visio).
  • Mobile environment operating systems; Apple iOS. Android, & audio/video.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting, including PC’s, handheld scanners, label, laser, and multifunction printers.
  • Network troubleshooting and support, and knowledge of OT technologies

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate technical ownership of local IT infrastructure and lead assigned projects
  • Conduct thorough root-cause analysis of recurring incidents and implement systemic fixes to prevent repeat outages
  • Coordinate with corporate teams to monitor and remediate VLM levels and ensure local systems do not introduce enterprise risk or downtime.
  • Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning for IT at the site level, including spend forecasting, procurement timing, and alignment with business cycles.
  • Manage asset lifecycle forecasting and inventory reconciliation with the Asset Management team to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Design and validate infrastructure continuity and upgrade strategies to ensure seamless rollouts and rapid recovery during hardware/software transitions.
  • Partner with local business leaders to ensure alignment on local and corporate objectives, projects, and other IT initiatives.
