About The Position

Performs IT security functions under team supervision participating in the design, implementation, administration, and monitoring of IT security activities and devices in a distributed environment. Typically works with the leadership of the Principal IT Security Architect and IT Security Director. This role follows a hybrid model where employees balance remote work with in-office collaboration based on project needs. Threat Monitoring and Response (Level 1 and Level 2) (E-mail, Firewalls, Endpoint Protection) Threat monitoring implementations and upgrades will be accomplished with minimal service interruption Participates in investigation of attempted or actual security violations. Support level 1&2 matrices maintained; Maintenance windows leveraged to implement major changes that require downtime Daily monitoring and timely response to all alerts set off by above systems, as well as additional resources deployed when alerts warrant. Future upgrades will be well thought out and implemented without service interruption in coordination with IT Security team. Periodic meetings with project managers and departmental representatives to provide/recommend solutions to DMZ and external resources. IT Security Systems Management Endpoint Protection Management Threat monitoring implementations and upgrades will be accomplished with minimal service interruption. Daily monitoring and timely response to all alerts set off by above systems, as well as additional resources deployed when alerts warrant. Compliancy Requirement Maintenance - upkeep and monitoring of various compliancy environments will be performed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Updates or needs for the systems will be conveyed during monthly meetings as well as other communication methods. Management of E-mail filtering System (Threat assessment of Alerts) Firewall Management (Level 1 and 2) SFTP System Management IT Security Level 1-2 Support and Workload Management Effectively route and manage the workload Resolves basic, daily and ongoing IT systems and security problems and tasks

Requirements

  • Two years of relevant experience from within the last 5 years in the IT security field including planning, installation, maintenance and problem resolution of IT security systems. This experience can be substituted by education in the fields of IT security, computer science, or a related field, with one year of education substituting for each year of experience.
  • One year of networking experience
  • Valid US driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in the planning, installation, maintenance and problem resolution of IT security systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
