About The Position

IT Enterprise Architect The Opportunity: A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Department of the Air Force (DAF) to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? That’s why we need an experienced network engineer like you who knows how to develop the exact network the Air Force needs. As an IT Enterprise Architect on our team, you’ll help lead Air Force (AF) cyberspace into the future by developing transformational Information Technology architectures using Digital Engineering and Model-Based System Engineering. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert for AF implementation of DoD Zero Trust strategies, perform technology research, and work with program engineers to develop architectures to meet customer requirements. This is your chance to develop your skills in information security and cloud technologies while gaining mentoring and experience in the defense industry. You’ll develop your skills in networking and data analytics while gaining experience in using the latest modeling software and techniques. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing or operating enterprise-level networks or systems
  • 2+ years of experience reviewing, analyzing, designing, or integrating IT systems or networks
  • Experience working with customers, vendors, and key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust methodologies and strategies
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT or Engineering field
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 6 months of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an MBSE tool such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or Cameo Enterprise Architecture
  • Experience developing architecture using the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
  • Experience designing, deploying, and integrating enterprise information systems and services
  • Experience working with senior leaders in the DAF
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust implementation techniques and real-world employments
  • Knowledge of DoD and AF network design, administration, and policies
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Systems, CS, or a related technical field a plus
