Build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with internal architecture, development & design standards & best practices. Design, modify, develop, write, implement and troubleshoot software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Works within a Waterfall or Agile methodology/framework-based team. Collaborates heavily with Project Management, Business Analyst and Infrastructure Job Families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience is required for Solution Engineer Sr (SG7). An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
  • 7 years relevant work experience is required for Solution Engineer Prin (SG9). An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred intermediate to advanced experience supporting AVEVA PI, Operational Technology Systems, and their components
  • AVEVA PI experience, especially with PI Interfaces PI Connectors PI Integrators
  • Operational Technology experience – Power Plant Control Systems such as Ovation
  • SCADA System related experience
  • Understanding of Communications Protocols – OPC, Modbus, DNP, Ovation

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and install software solutions

  • Exabit understanding of the AVEVA PI (Plant Information) system, components, and processes
  • Ability to understand interrelationships between systems and components
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, urgency, and attention to detail to support real time operations
  • Able to provide on rotation, after hours (24 x 7) on-call support
