About The Position

STV is seeking an IT Endpoint Engineer, Information Technology to join our corporate IT team/ This position will be designated as hybrid (3 days week/in office) and will be located in our Philadelphia, PA office. This position will be responsible for the design, creation, administration, and distribution of enterprise-wide applications. The deployment of software will be for both physical Windows based desktop/laptops and in a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to create Advertisements/Collections/Packages/Applications within an SCCM environment.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automating tasks during installation and uninstallation including utilizing SCCM cmdlets
  • Leveraging third party tools such as Flexera, InstallShield, and Orca for application deployment
  • Hands-on experience with the Windows file System and registry and how it relates to software deployment
  • Evaluate alternatives for deploying and supporting applications in a managed environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with other systems administrators as well as work with other IT teams and work well multitasking various related efforts
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a persistence to solve problems in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately and possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think analytically and solve problems; conduct analysis of alternatives, make recommendations, and issue resolutions
  • 3+ years of creating packages and performing Desktop/Laptop deployments using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • 3+ years of customer support experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology preferred or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AEC / engineering application installation such as AutoCad, Revit, etc. considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, plan, and coordinate the physical desktop environment application delivery including SCCM packages
  • Participate in ensuring that the SCCM packages deploy successfully in our virtual environment
  • Participate in maintaining the physical computer imaging environment
  • Work with various IT department teams to perform preliminary testing of the installed applications
  • Create and maintain documentation, as requested on software deployment procedures
  • Participate in important department and companywide technology projects including testing and deployment of new applications and systems
  • Track and update software deployment requests as part of the service desk management platform
  • Works with procurement staff to ensure proper licensing is in place
  • Responsible for proper escalation, communications, and management of production system problems
  • Evaluates current procedures and processes for accomplishing objectives and continuously develops and implements improved practices
