About The Position

This senior IT leadership role is critical for ensuring business continuity and operational resilience across a global technology infrastructure. As IT Disaster Recovery Manager, you will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of disaster recovery programs for enterprise applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. You will partner closely with application and infrastructure teams to define recovery priorities, conduct DR testing, and implement standardized processes. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader capable of managing cross-functional initiatives, responding effectively during crises, and continuously enhancing disaster recovery capabilities to minimize operational risk and ensure business continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT or technical roles with hands-on disaster recovery responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading DR projects and managing cross-functional teams in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise IT technologies including compute, storage, network, and cloud platforms as they relate to DR.
• Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and maintain DR plans and documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, capable of engaging both executive and technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple initiatives, and respond to high-pressure situations, including on-call DR incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the disaster recovery (DR) strategy, roadmap, and implementation across enterprise IT infrastructure, applications, and platforms.
• Partner with application and infrastructure owners to document DR processes, ensure RTO/RPO alignment, and validate vendor recovery capabilities for SaaS solutions.
• Lead DR testing cycles, review outcomes, provide validation, and maintain comprehensive documentation of DR exercises.
• Facilitate disaster recovery steering committee meetings and communicate DR status, future roadmap, and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Serve as IT crisis management lead, coordinating response, documenting incidents, and assigning responsibilities during critical events.
• Collaborate with project and solution teams to deliver DR-related initiatives on time and within budget, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Maintain updated enterprise-wide DR documentation, knowledge base articles, and internal guidance materials.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of DR and project management professionals to ensure effective execution and continuous improvement.
