The Senior Analyst, Disaster Recovery is a pivotal role within the Information Technology department, reporting directly to the IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Program Manager. The primary duty of this role is to support the formulation, execution, and ongoing refinement of the organization’s Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and protocols. The Senior Analyst will assist in crafting comprehensive disaster recovery plans, conducting regular risk assessments to pinpoint vulnerabilities, and integrating these plans with current IT systems and practices. They will also coordinate and conduct DR tests to ensure the efficacy of recovery strategies, document outcomes, maintain compliance with industry standards, and manage training programs to enhance staff awareness and preparedness for disaster scenarios. In the event of an actual disaster, the Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in managing response and recovery operations alongside the Program Manager, providing both technical and operational support to expedite the restoration of IT functions. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. The annual salary range for this position is $90,700 to $193,500, with a target entry point of $123,600+ depending on experience.
