Start your Voyage - Apply Now Position Summary: The IT Director of Engineering will lead the infrastructure engineering organization under the broader Engineering & Shared Services umbrella. This role will oversee multiple engineering teams and drive strategic initiatives that align with business goals and technology innovation. Position Description: Lead and manage engineering teams including: o M365 Engineering & Innovation o Cloud & Automation Engineering (Ansible, OpenShift) o Monitoring/Observability Engineering (Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Foglight, ThousandEyes) o AV & Events Engineering (Cisco, MS Teams, Live Streaming) Develop and execute strategic plans to improve engineering efficiency and delivery. Collaborate with Shared Services (Batch Support, Infra L1, Service Delivery/Reporting), Solutions Architecture and Cost Management & Business Analysis to ensure cross-functional alignment. Oversee project management and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure engineering practices comply with industry standards and internal governance. Prepare and present strategic ideas to senior leadership, clearly articulating vision, priorities, and impact. Define and track success using KPIs and metrics to measure engineering performance, delivery outcomes, and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with a strong focus on engineering.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Proven success in managing diverse technical teams across multiple domains.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to quantify success through KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Deep expertise in cloud technologies, automation, monitoring systems, and AV solutions.
