About The Position

The IT Director is responsible for managing and maintaining the Toyota Arena, ONT Field and Ontario Convention’s Information Technology environments to assure system integrity and availability. Under the supervision of the General Manager(s), supervise, direct, plan, schedule and monitor all computer and phone programs for the venues. Supervises, directs, plans, schedules and monitors all special projects related to facility computing, POS systems, digital signage, scoreboard, ribbon board, cellular, phone systems, etc. Defines and maintains IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum education level of: BS in IT or Computer Science preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT or Computer Engineering
  • SME for Microsoft O365 Administration
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience IT Support experience
  • CCNA networking experience
  • GRC auditing and readiness experience
  • Experience with networking, telephony, troubleshooting, project management, and technical support
  • Direct experience in staff and 3rd party vendor daily management
  • Ability to learn and solve problems
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to pass background.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Toyota Arena, ONTField and Ontario Convention Center’s technologies and services, including user-related incidents and requests in a Windows and Macintosh environment.
  • Supporting network, internet, and telephony systems by providing network, wireless access and telephony needs as requested by business stakeholders.
  • Manage and deliver tech services for events held at Toyota Arena, ONTField and Ontario Convention Center in addition to onsite support.
  • Work directly with venue tenants or affiliates on initiatives to establish new/emerging technology components.
  • Manage and develop standard operating procedures for venues to help manage and support its technology systems.
  • Work directly with the Legends Global IT group to ensure policies and procedures are being followed in addition to best practices.
  • Manage and schedule full-time, part-time, event support staff and third-party vendors that are needed to support venues’ business and events.
  • Employee onboarding, offboarding and changes, direction from HR and hiring manager, set up equipment, software, etc. for new users, collect equipment, shut off access for exiting, work with hiring managers to provide any IT support new employee needs.
  • Oversee related contracted maintenance agreements.
  • Develop bid specifications, renewal agreements, and manage all other related items to ensure that acceptable and quality performance levels are achieved.
  • Manage physical access needs, repair requests, service modifications and improvements.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives focused on venue technology and moving the business forward.
  • Develop and execute plans that focus on operations excellence to increase overall efficiency.
  • Keep inventory of technologies systems for Life Cycle Management and budgeting purposes.
  • Contribute to venue budgeting by capturing capex costs for technology investments.
  • Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery, while developing and maintaining incident response plans.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure the effectiveness of technology and security solutions; negotiate contracts.
