About The Position

The Director of IT will lead the IT strategy and technology solutions across the organization. This role ensures seamless infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application support while driving operational efficiency, security, and business growth through innovative technology solutions. The Director will oversee business practices, large-scale project delivery, and foster collaboration across departments to meet both business objectives. This position is on-site in North Aurora, Illinois.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications in Agile, Six Sigma, or PMP are a plus.
  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years in IT operations or related areas, with demonstrated success teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven success managing budgets, financial planning, and driving ROI through strategic technology implementations.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Experience managing third-party vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and service integration.
  • Technology Expertise: Experience with cloud-based ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. A strong understanding of B2B/B2C and EDI solutions. Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD Domain & SSL Certificates Strong understanding of Web Development and Web integration. Experience working with C# Experience working with bank PCI integration and framework Managing vendor contracts & software license purchases & renewals Backup and disaster recovery solutions Strong background in LAN/WAN networks including firewalls and switches VMWare environments

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute IT and engineering strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operational excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Lead day-to-day technology and engineering operations, including application support, incident management, and problem resolution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and various departments to ensure business and technology alignment, including infrastructure, application development, and engineering practices.
  • Project Delivery: Manage large-scale projects, including ERP implementations, system integrations, and technology upgrades, ensuring on-time and budget completion as well as migrating from on-premise applications to Microsoft 365. Exchange server experience also a plus.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative culture of continuous learning, career growth, and knowledge sharing.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for technology initiatives and engineering projects, optimizing cost and performance.
  • Vendor & Relationship Management: Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness, service quality, and successful integration of systems and technologies.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Lead incident response, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Innovation & Growth: Drive innovation by implementing cutting-edge technologies, contributing to business development by supporting proposals and strategic recommendations.
