About The Position

The Director of Microsoft 365 Collaboration & Productivity is responsible for the strategy, delivery, governance, and operations of the organization’s Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services. This role owns the day to day, and strategic management of the Microsoft 365 tenant workloads related to messaging, collaboration, content, and productivity, excluding identity, security platforms, compliance tooling, and endpoint management. The Director ensures Microsoft 365 services are reliable, scalable, user focused, and aligned with business objectives, while partnering closely with Identity, Security, Compliance, and Endpoint teams that retain focused, and aligned with business objectives, while partnering closely with Identity, Security, Compliance, and Endpoint teams that retain ownership of their respective platforms. Responsibilities

  • Strategy, delivery, governance, and operations of the organization’s Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services.
  • Day to day, and strategic management of the Microsoft 365 tenant workloads related to messaging, collaboration, content, and productivity, excluding identity, security platforms, compliance tooling, and endpoint management.
  • Ensuring Microsoft 365 services are reliable, scalable, user focused, and aligned with business objectives
  • Partnering closely with Identity, Security, Compliance, and Endpoint teams that retain focused, and aligned with business objectives, while partnering closely with Identity, Security, Compliance, and Endpoint teams that retain ownership of their respective platforms.
  • Microsoft 365 service configuration and Feature enhancements for both Commercial and Government tenants
  • Exchange Online (email, calendaring, mail flow operations)
  • Microsoft Teams (chat, meetings, collaboration, voice if applicable)
  • SharePoint Online (sites, content services, information architecture)
  • OneDrive for Business (users backups, Geo restrictions, and Geo data storage)
  • Microsoft 365 Apps (desktop and web productivity applications)
  • Power Platform tenant governance (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI – non-security aspects)
  • Copilot adoption and governance (adoption and Evangelizing usage)
