We are seeking an experienced ERP S/4 Transformation Lead to own and drive a full SAP S/4HANA transformation program for our orthopedics business. This role will lead the end-to-end program (strategy through post-go‑live stabilization), align IT and business stakeholders, manage system integrators and vendors, and ensure the ERP solution meets clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, supply-chain and commercial needs specific to orthopedics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree or MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years’ experience in ERP programs; minimum 5 years in roles leading SAP transformations.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation/transformation leadership (large-scale deployments preferred).
  • Strong domain experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, quality and regulatory requirements—experience in orthopedics, medical devices or life sciences is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on familiarity with SAP modules commonly used in our environment, and experience with integration technologies (e.g., CPI/PO) and master data governance (MDG).
  • Proven track record of managing complex vendor ecosystems (system integrators, cloud vendors, third‑party solutions).
  • Solid program and delivery management skills: risk management, budgeting, resource planning, project governance.
  • Experience with data migration strategies and tools, test-management, and cutover execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive presence—able to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Relevant certifications helpful: SAP S/4HANA (architect/consultant), PMP/Prince2, Agile/Scrum Master, Prosci or similar change management certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the SAP S/4HANA transformation program: strategy, planning, governance, delivery, budget and risk management.
  • Act as single-point program lead between business executives, process owners (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales & Marketing, R&D), IT, external system integrators and vendors.
  • Define and validate the target operating model, solution architecture, business process design and roadmap using SAP Activate or equivalent methodology.
  • Drive blueprinting, configuration oversight, integrations, data migration strategy and execution, custom development prioritization and cutover planning.
  • Ensure regulatory and quality requirements relevant to medical devices/orthopedics (e.g., traceability, quality management, auditability) are embedded into the solution.
  • Lead the program delivery cadence: steering committees, executive reporting, program financials and milestone tracking.
  • Oversee testing strategy (unit, integration, UAT, performance), deployment, hypercare and stabilization.
  • Manage change management, communications, training and organizational readiness to drive adoption and benefits realization.
  • Direct vendor/SI performance, contract deliverables, SLAs and coordinate internal shared services.
  • Measure and report program outcomes vs. business KPIs and benefits (cost, lead time, quality, compliance, user adoption).
