Direct IT Support for Critical GIS Systems As an IT Desktop Support professional supporting the United States Geological Survey (USGS), you’ll keep desktops, laptops, virtual machines, and GIS applications running reliably and securely. You’ll support ArcGIS applications while managing the Windows environments that teams depend on every day. You’ll contribute as a key member of the team by setting up systems thoughtfully, troubleshooting issues before they affect users, and ensuring all desktops and virtual environments remain stable and mission-ready. From installing and supporting ArcGIS Enterprise components to maintaining Windows laptops and virtual machines, your work helps teams access and use geospatial data efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, collaborating across teams, and taking ownership of system performance and GIS application support. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days on-site per week, combining on-site support with remote flexibility Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
