About The Position

The IT Database Administrator is responsible for support to staff on all company supported databases. The IT Database Administrators performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests

Requirements

Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or related area from four-year college or university; or Two (2) years related experience and/or SQL training; or An equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years).

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot systems and application to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Verify all SQL server instances are up, review SQL Server error logs.
Verify all scheduled jobs have run successfully.
Create and establish report servers and maintain reporting services.
Extract and/or load data.
Set up cybersecurity measures.
Perform and/or oversee software installation and upgrades.
Answer staff questions in person and via phone on all company supported applications equipment and software.
Ensure hardware and software is updated.
Monitor the performance of hardware and software.
Configure servers and databases while preserving data integrity.
Ethically handle private data, including financial and/or healthcare data.
Maintain confidentiality of the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network and other sensitive information learned while performing duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
