GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:The IT Data Product Manager has a critical role in leading the County’s data strategy and managing the County’s data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Knowledge of current industry technology, operations and practices and recommendations related to enterprise data management.
• Demonstrated experience with Google GCP including Big Query, Cloud Composer, and Vertex AI.
• Experience with CKAN or similar data portal toolsets.
• Proficient with SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience with Open Metadata.
• Experience with developing Organizational data governance.
• Ability to effectively lead change and innovation.
• Ability to understand and support County Strategy (Align Arapahoe) and the Departmental strategies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrated ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Expertise working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
• Five (5) years or more of experience as a team leader or other technical leadership role.
• Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.
• Possession of a valid Class “R” Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within two weeks of appointment.

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of experience in enterprise data analysis
• Experience in a public sector agency
• Knowledge of information security best practices
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams

Responsibilities

• Build and implement County’s enterprise data strategy.
• Lead, mentor and manage data analysts and engineers.
• Build and support enterprise data products based on enterprise needs.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, customers, other managers, fellow workers, citizens and vendor's representatives.
• Plan, coordinate, direct and review the work of staff.
• Maintain and communicate with a positive demeanor and outlook.
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question processes across functional areas.
• Understand and support County Strategy (Align Arapahoe) and the Departmental strategies.
