About The Position

Provides technical leadership in the configuration and utilization of application software and/or databases to ensure optimum performance and data integrity for clinical systems and third party associated products. Communicates, technically and non-technically, with team members, IS staff, IS management, system users, and vendors to ensure successful and cooperative completion of tasks and projects and to resolve problems in a timely manner. Ensures tasks and projects are completed in a successful and timely manner. Develops reports, statistics, and analysis.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of experience along with two years application support experience.
  • Previous experience with various aspects of Operating systems, database operations, report writing, system analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Two years in systems configuration and design.
  • Systems analysis and design, database concepts, application system experience, various operating system experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists management with the strategic direction of clinical supported applications.
  • Provides technical leadership in the knowledge of application database configuration.
  • Designs, monitors, and ensures the effective performance of database interfaces, file feeds, and 'refreshes'.
  • Completes management-approved documentation necessary for all planned database configurations, tests, implementations, upgrades, and conversions.
  • Communicates and follows up with customers on the status of problems and projects.
  • Communicates the status of project implementations and problem resolutions to management and users.
  • Finalizes all documentation of procedures, standards, and methodologies for the proper maintenance of databases.
  • Participates as an active and contributing team member or advisor in meetings.
  • Assists the department manager in developing logical, detail-oriented project plans and estimates.
  • Reviews system and process design proactively to discover opportunities for improvement.
  • Achieves high levels of data integrity in all reports and analyses.
  • Completes and maintains documentation on the development and execution of all reports placed in production.
