About The Position

The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Foundation's executive leadership and business units, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technology capabilities. This role is accountable for shaping technological demand, driving measurable business value, and enabling the successful delivery and adoption of technology solutions that support the Foundation's growth, operational excellence, and long-term objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the BRM is a key member of the IT leadership team and works closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and IT delivery teams to translate business strategies into actionable, value-driven technology initiatives. The BRM provides consulting-level guidance across business operations, strategic planning, solution discovery, portfolio management, risk management, and organizational change, while fostering strong, collaborative relationships across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary strategic interface between business leadership and the IT organization, serving as a trusted advisor and escalation point for executive stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Foundation's enterprise strategy, long-range plans, and operational priorities to proactively identify technology-enabled business opportunities.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to assess current capabilities, define desired future states, and align technology initiatives with business outcomes.
  • Own and articulate the business value of IT initiatives, ensuring technology investments are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Define, track, and report on value realization, success metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for technology-enabled initiatives.
  • Ensure prioritization decisions are driven by business value, risk, and strategic alignment.
  • Lead and facilitate business demand intake, shaping and prioritizing initiatives in collaboration with business and IT leadership.
  • Conduct regular portfolio and technology roadmap reviews to provide transparency into investments, progress, capacity, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Balance competing demands while aligning business needs with IT capacity, architectural direction, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and project sponsors to define initiative vision, scope, and success criteria.
  • Partner with IT functions (PMO, architecture, security, applications, infrastructure, and operations) to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Ensure consistent, executive-level communication throughout the lifecycle of services and projects-from ideation through delivery and post-implementation.
  • Identify and champion opportunities for innovation, automation, and process optimization to reduce complexity, enhance service quality, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Promote digital awareness and emerging technology opportunities that support business agility and competitive advantage.
  • Evaluate initiatives with consideration for cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and data integrity.
  • Partner with business leaders to support organizational change, adoption, and readiness associated with new technology solutions.
  • Ensure business stakeholders understand solution capabilities, delivery approach, and operational impacts.
  • Drive successful integration of technology solutions into day-to-day business operations to maximize realized value.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks, policies, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a bridge between business and IT governance, helping leaders understand trade-offs, risks, and decision impacts.
  • Support risk assessments and mitigation planning related to technology initiatives and operational services.
