About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated, certified IT Business Analyst with a CFPS certification, fluent in English. This is a remote tele-work position, allowing you to work from anywhere, while being part of a dynamic and friendly project team. Freelancer and/or part-time employment is acceptable. What You'll Do: Conduct workshops with client officers and stakeholders. Elicit business requirements and translate them into functional (e.g. use cases, user stories, etc.) and non-functional specifications. Estimate project size using Function Points (FP). Contribute to system design and architecture tasks. Support the development team by clarifying requirements. Participate in functional testing. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Produce end-user documentation (e.g. user manuals). Develop training curriculum and conduct training sessions. Assist in project management, authoring of technical documentation, team coordination, and reporting.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of measuring the size and complexity of software using Function Point Analysis.
  • Valid IFPUG - Certified Function Point Specialist (CFPS) certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Analytical thinking, with good presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Familiar with the Agile development cycle of web applications (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, activity diagram, entity relationship model, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite and understanding of XML, SQL, HTML, and CSS technologies will form an asset.
