About The Position

The IT Business Analyst / Generalist role is assisting and supporting Threshold business units in efforts to implement, integrate, and optimize a wide variety of technology systems and solutions in a cost-effective way. The role will gather the requirements for process / system improvement efforts, lead or facilitating collaborative teams to produce work products, system / process changes, reporting, and other results with the goal of improving customer service delivery, quality, increase revenue generation, and reduce costs. The position will require the application of business principles combined with hands on application of technology (data processing, reporting, analytics, and application development) to deliver measureable results. Utilize IT knowledge and talents to provide software and hardware data processing solutions, reporting, and applications solutions to Threshold business units. Support the development of MS Dynamics NAV solutions and modifications to support dynamic business environment. Support the use and development business reporting, business intelligence, and analytics systems (MS SQL Reporting Services, ZAP BI, and SharePoint). Support the use and development of business work automation and project management systems (Workfront, SharePoint, and MS Office Platforms). Project management of business system integrations and business process improvement. Lead or facilitate cross functional project teams. Develop and maintain a good understanding of the organization’s Application and Data Services systems and processes. Solve routine and unusual problems and provide feedback to internal users and customers. Participate in continuous process improvement efforts, improving and optimizing workflows, and supporting documentation disciplines for processes and procedures. Be available for night work and weekends on an emergency or on-call basis. Perform all other tasks as assigned by Threshold management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in business technology system support (professional IT environment)
  • BS/BA in information technology, computer science, information systems management, or related subject matter
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems and networks
  • Working project management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise systems similar in class to ERP systems, collaboration systems (Workfront, SharePoint as an example), B2B data exchange systems, business intelligence systems, SasS (Software as a Service) application platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with use and development of MS Dynamics/NAV, SharePoint, MS Office, AtTask or equivalent systems and solutions
  • PMI (Project Management Institute) or equivalent certifications
  • Experience with integration and optimization of existing business systems
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) and business analytic (BA) systems and solutions
  • Excellent communications skills, coupled with sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Team management and collaboration skills and experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work under minimal management, with strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, manage multiple projects, in a fast-paced environment
