About The Position

The IT Business Analyst – EDI position is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and supporting electronic data interchange (EDI) processes while ensuring seamless integration across enterprise systems. The role serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering and translating requirements to improve workflow and data accuracy. Other key responsibilities include supporting Salesforce‑related business processes—such as requirements gathering, process analysis, testing, and solution validation—and applying SQL expertise to troubleshoot data issues, validate integrations, and conduct detailed analytics. This position ensures high‑quality data exchange across systems, collaborates on cross‑functional initiatives, documents workflows, and drives continual improvements in EDI and CRM‑connected processes to support business operations and strategic goals.

Requirements

3-5 years’ experience in business technology system support with emphasis on EDI.
Strong understanding of EDI concepts, transaction sets (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810), and integration workflows.
Hands-on SQL experience for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
Functional experience working with Salesforce, including requirements gathering and process documentation consistent with Salesforce BA responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
BS/BA in information technology, computer science, information systems management, or related subject matter.
Working knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems and networks.
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.
Working knowledge of Enterprise systems similar in class to ERP systems, SharePoint, B2B data exchange systems, business intelligence systems, SasS application platforms.

Nice To Haves

Experience with use and development of NAV 2017, Business Central, Salesforce, SharePoint, MS Office, or equivalent systems and solutions.
Experience with business intelligence Power BI and business analytic systems and solutions.
Experience with T-SQL and MS SSRS queries.

Responsibilities

Primary function is to utilize advanced EDI skills to provide timely and accurate integrations by working closely with Threshold customers and internal Sales team members as needed to implement and maintain these business-critical transactions.
Provides administration for receiving and sending all EDI documents
Ensures accuracy of all EDI orders; tracks and resolves complex EDI related issues
Administers, supports, and provides advice on all partner integrations (direct, VAN, FTP) and workflows
Assist the accounts receivable team when there are issues related to EDI transactions.
Supports processing all EDI documents to ensure compliance with customer’s requirements.
Assists with researching and correcting EDI transactions.
Participate in continuous process improvement efforts, improving and optimizing workflows, and supporting documentation disciplines for processes and procedures.
Meet with customer service often to get firsthand insight into challenges and opportunities.
This position requires some weekly on-site presence.
Perform all other tasks assigned by Threshold management.
