IT Audit - Intern
About The Position
Ingersoll Rand's Internal Audit Department plays a crucial role in making sure our company runs effectively and follows important policies and regulations. As an? IT Audit Intern reporting to our IT Audit Manager, you will participate in a variety of IT audit activities - such as assisting in the execution of SOX walkthroughs and testing, operational IT audits, and special projects - all while being guided by the wider IT Audit Team. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in a supportive, professional environment, great for someone who wants to understand how auditing of IT systems works in a global company and explore emerging technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and data analytics.
Responsibilities
- Participate in walkthroughs to see how IT controls work within the business.
- Prepare clear, timely documentation (workpapers) showing how IT controls are designed and work.
- Assist in follow-up, remediation, and mitigation on audit findings.
- Work with the global audit team, external auditors, other interns, and business/IT contacts to complete audit tasks accurately and on-time.
- Participate in a special project using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or data analytics, and present the project at the end of the internship.
