About The Position

Under direct staff supervision, the Student Assistant(s) support the Audio
Visual (AV) team by providing technical assistance in classrooms, conference
rooms, digital signage, and campus-wide events. The responsibilities include:

Assist with repairs and setting up AV equipment in learning spaces and
conference rooms.
Set up digital signage.
Respond promptly to support calls.
Transport AV parts across the campus.
Test AV systems in classrooms and conference rooms using computer and video
source devices.

Excellent troubleshooting skills are required for this role. This position will
require the student to drive on campus. Other duties as assigned.

• Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
• Communicate effectively with all levels
• Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
• Student has an understanding of the Audio/Video system.
• Able to start work immediately or on short notice.
