About The Position

Accrete supports high-trust government and defense-related work that requires strong operational security and compliance. We are seeking an IT Associate to provide onsite IT support, assist with security controls, and help maintain compliance with CMMC requirements. This role is ideal for an early-career associate who wants exposure to real-world security operations, compliance, and hands-on IT in a regulated environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Accrete AI Government (AAIG) team, securing our office environment, and ensuring the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or junior security roles
  • Strong fundamentals in:
  • Windows and macOS administration
  • Networking basics (VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi)
  • Endpoint security and device management
  • Interest in cybersecurity, compliance, and regulated environments
  • Ability to work onsite and support in-office teams
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow documented procedures
  • Clear communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical users

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to CMMC, NIST 800-171, or similar compliance frameworks
  • Experience working in government, defense, or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with MDM tools, identity/access management, or security monitoring
  • Security+ or similar entry-level certification (or working toward one)

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT support for employees, including hardware, operating systems, networking, and access issues
  • Support the AAIG team with day-to-day IT and security needs
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing CMMC-required security controls in our new office space (physical and technical)
  • Help maintain ongoing CMMC compliance, including evidence collection and documentation
  • Support secure handling, storage, and access to CUI data
  • Assist with device provisioning, patching, endpoint security, and asset management
  • Work closely with the broader Infosec team and senior engineers on security initiatives and audits
  • Respond to basic security incidents and escalate as needed
