About The Position

Manhattan Children’s Center is a world-class educational and therapeutic facility for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Students ages 5 - 21 years and their families are supported through a transdisciplinary model. We are distinguished through our commitment to realizing each child’s potential as an individual, as a family member, and as a valued, functional member of the community. Due to the complex and challenging nature of ASD, our education and training model incorporates a one-to-one instructional approach facilitated by: ABA, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Skills Through Peer Instruction, and Family Training. MCC is a partner in research and services with The Manhattan Behavioral Center, a growing clinical resource for families and people with autism and related disabilities. Manhattan Children’s Center (MCC) is seeking a positive, dynamic IT Assistant who is interested in joining a therapeutic team where the goal is to offer every child the opportunity to thrive. At MCC we emphasize staff training and mentoring that is facilitated through close supervision and consistent professional training and development with 5 days per year of guest speakers, workshops, and open forums MCC has created a workplace that is inclusive and diverse - where authenticity is celebrated, and everyone can pursue their related interests. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address urgent technical issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a technical support role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS operating systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with network administration and basic troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and events set up.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and devices.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of new computers and devices for staff.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist in procurement of new technology as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Provide training and assistance to users on software applications and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.
  • Respond to IT support requests via email, phone, or ticketing system, and resolve issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the needs of the team and organization.
