About The Position

Join our dedicated team at Community Interface Services as an IT Assistant and help ensure our staff have the reliable technology they need to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout our community. This is a 30-hour per week, in-person role based in our Vista office, typically scheduled Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break, with the potential to grow to 40-hours per week in the future. Occasional travel to our San Diego (Kearney Mesa) office may be required. Our mission is to provide quality, individualized, community-based support and training in employment, housing, community living, and financial management services. The Opportunity This role is ideal for someone with foundational IT knowledge who enjoys helping others, solving problems, and keeping systems running smoothly. You will serve as a key frontline resource supporting staff technology needs, maintaining equipment, and helping ensure our systems stay organized, secure, and up to date. Strong reliability, attention to detail, and customer service skills are essential. There are opportunities for the right candidate to grow into broader technical responsibilities and assist with future systems projects.

Requirements

  • At least 1–2 years of experience supporting computer systems, office technology, or help desk functions (professional or equivalent training)
  • Working knowledge of Windows computers, mobile devices, printers, and common office software
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dependability and ability to follow through on tasks
  • Valid driver's license, a car in safe working order, insurance, and ability to travel occasionally to San Diego

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or certification in Information Technology, Computer Support, or related field
  • Experience managing user accounts in Microsoft 365 or similar systems
  • Experience maintaining equipment inventory or IT asset tracking

Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure laptops, iPhones, tablets, printers, AV equipment, and related peripherals
  • Maintain and troubleshoot office hardware and software issues
  • Provide basic help desk support to staff both in person and remotely
  • Reset passwords and assist users with login or access issues
  • Create and deactivate user accounts for new hires and exiting staff
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment and technology assets
  • Order new hardware, supplies, and replacement equipment as needed
  • Keep organizational email distribution lists updated
  • Assist with maintaining system documentation and procedures
  • Occasionally travel to the San Diego office to assist with onsite IT needs
  • Support additional IT or systems-related projects as assigned
