About The Position

The Applications Analyst serves as the central point of contact for a portfolio of hospital applications, including but not limited to Meditech, Redoc, Mach7, and eMDs. This role is responsible for the implementation, training, support, and upgrade coordination of these systems, ensuring they meet organizational and clinical needs. The Applications Analyst plays a key role in project management for assigned systems, acting as the single point of contact for project timelines, issue resolution, and communication. They are responsible for the creation and maintenance of user-requested reports, as well as the ongoing analysis and support of application workflows to ensure optimal performance and availability. This position requires daily collaboration with a variety of end users, including physicians, Radiologists, Nurses, and other hospital departments, as well as coordination with third-party vendors. The Analyst must build and maintain effective relationships and communication channels across these groups to support transparency, cooperation, and timely updates on project and support status. The Applications Analyst ensures that all services are performed professionally and efficiently, with a strong focus on user satisfaction and system reliability. Responsibilities also include resolving Help Desk tickets, managing workflow changes, and communicating go-lives, upgrades, and template modifications to all impacted departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Systems or equivalent discipline is desired, but not required.
  • Minimum of one year exposure to the healthcare industry or applicable area of concentration.
  • Knowledge of information systems required.
  • Experience with report writing tools and methodologies or Advanced Excel Analysis.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in full life cycle system development projects.
  • Completed work on a major application effort that involved the entire implementation from start to finish.
  • Ability to lead groups to map workflows.
