Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) Health and Specialty Care Systems (HSCS) department seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Application Support Team Lead (Systems Analyst V) to support Electronic Health Records (EHR) applications. The analyst performs analytical, and systems administrations work for information systems and technologies to support the State Hospitals (SH’s) and State Supported Living Centers (SSLCs). The analyst will support multiple third-party applications (Oracle Cerner’s Millennium, Netsmart’s myAvatar, and IRIS_DSS, among others). The analyst is selected by, and accountable, to the Manager, Health & Specialty Care System Applications (HSCS). Work involves gathering and analyzing requirements, design and implementation, and on-going maintenance of existing systems and processes. The Analyst will work with other HSCS staff as well as other HHSC staff to develop and support information systems. The analyst may interact with staff from other agencies and outside entities as required to provide continued support, obtain required work products, or for consultation. This role will require advanced systems analysis skills to effectively plan, coordinate, and communicate on team projects and tasks, including documenting product requirements, assigning tasks, tracking work products, and researching issues and requests. This position requires technical application knowledge to be able to evaluate issues and guide solutions. This role will directly perform support activities on Cerner’s Millennium application using, PMOffice, PowerChart, PowerForms, mPages, scheduling, interfaces, and tools like, Bedrock, DA2 report, Discern Visual Developer, SI Tools, Olympus, Backend servers to name a few. Work outside of regular hours, including occasional afterhours and weekends, may be required. Requires to participate in an on-call service rotation among team members. The position works under minimal supervision with latitude to use initiative and independent judgment and performs other related work as assigned. Selected candidate must work onsite from an HHS office located in Austin, Texas designated by the hiring manager.
