About The Position

The IT Application Specialist provides support, configuration, and maintenance for key business applications, ensuring they meet organizational needs and run efficiently. This role delivers training and support to end-users to maximize software utilization and resolve technical challenges. The Application Specialist also deploys and supports application-related equipment such as timeclocks and phones used as punch devices.

  • Experience working with business computer hardware (PCs, phones, timeclocks) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support & Troubleshooting: Act as a primary point of contact for end-users, resolving issues via phone, email, or ticketing system; troubleshoot complex software bugs and performance problems.
  • Maintenance & Optimization: Monitor application performance, conduct regular health checks and system maintenance, and implement updates and patches in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
  • Implementation & Configuration: Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of new applications; configure systems to align with business requirements.
  • Training & Documentation: Develop user guides, FAQs, and training materials; conduct training sessions for new hires and feature rollouts.
  • Collaboration: Work with IT, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders to identify needs, suggest improvements, and implement solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
  • Hardware Setup and Deployment: Set up, configure, and ship application-related equipment (such as timeclocks or IVR phones). Maintain an inventory of deployed equipment and support users throughout the equipment lifecycle.
