About The Position

This position would be for an experienced data modeler (IT Analyst) supporting various efforts within the data technology portfolio. As a Data Modeler, you will work closely with our data architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data models, as well as maintaining their documentation and metadata.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus two years' related experience.
  • Associate's degree in a technical field, plus four years' related experience.
  • High school diploma plus six years' related experience.
  • Conceptual, logical & Physical data modeling experience (Erwin, IBM IDA, EA, etc.).
  • Experience collaborating with business partners to identify technical (functional & non-functional) requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with IT partner teams to identify technical (functional & non-functional) requirements.
  • Experience documenting technical (function & non-functional) requirements.
  • Experience interpreting business requirements from supporting documentation.
  • Some exposure to XML.
  • Experience working in database environment (SQL or NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of data normalization and denormalization.
  • Knowledge of data modeling concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates across multiple teams to drive analysis management processes (i.e. business, quality, experience, system).
  • Utilizes technical guidance received from leaders and higher-level peers to address complex problems and projects.
  • Effectively communicates with customers, team members or other stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Participates in the execution and implementation of solutions.
