About The Position

The IT Analyst II analyzes information security systems and applications to identify vulnerabilities and develop protective measures against unauthorized modification, access, or data loss. This role applies advanced technical knowledge and independent judgment to perform complex security tasks and may provide functional leadership on assigned initiatives. Requirements

  • Approximately four (4) to six (6) years of experience in information security, systems analysis, or related field.
  • Experience analyzing and implementing information security measures.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, practices, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to perform complex technical analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and technical creativity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required;OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze information security systems and applications to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Recommend and develop security measures to protect organizational information assets.
  • Apply industry concepts, practices, and procedures to safeguard systems and data.
  • Perform complex technical tasks requiring sound judgment and creativity.
  • Support implementation of security controls and system improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents or compliance issues.
  • Participate in risk assessments and security evaluations.
  • Develop documentation related to security measures and remediation activities.
  • May lead or direct the work of technical staff on specific assignments.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and managers to align security efforts with project objectives.
