About The Position

Redwood Credit Union is seeking an IT Analyst I, this role includes analyzing and improving our IT systems, troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with stakeholders to define technology needs, and implementing solutions. This position is responsible for helping and enhancing our enterprise-wide projects and tasks. The Analyst bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, which involves creating documentation, managing projects, and ensuring system security and performance. Other duties include maintaining knowledge of the core business principles, regulatory requirements and standards of the division whose applications they are assigned to support.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems.
  • Basic knowledge of the Episys platform and ancillary device’s structure.
  • Strong skill in the operation of a PC with Intranet and Internet access along with the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and information systems software.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects using a browser-based tracking system.
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer related problems.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and/ or direction.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage, develop, and implement technology related projects.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with outside vendors and internal clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to work weekends and late nights when needed.
  • Ability to work at 6:00 am when needed (normal hours would be 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm).

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree in business or closely related field and a minimum of two years’ experience.
  • Credit Union industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate projects that involve core system database changes.
  • Tests, analyzes, and implements current software vendor upgrades.
  • Assist in all phases of system design, development, testing and support.
  • Manage 3rd party support (consultants and vendors) in regard to implementing and enhancing business systems.
  • Facilitate and self-manage cross-functional projects to support key business initiatives such as document management, Intranet, and other data-centric applications.
  • Provide status updates, work plans, written documentation, conversion and test plans, and training for administered business systems.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance standards to ensure daily, weekly, and month-end functions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prioritize technical issues and communicate resolution times as needed.
  • Maintain the imaging systems of organizational documents.
  • Ensure all team member access levels to information systems following the Redwood Group policy.
  • Maintain Redwood Group uptime standards when working on IT project conversions and cutovers.
  • Maintain core system.
  • Create, develop, and integrate new processes and instructions for computer operations.
  • Develop and maintain current department instruction and check-off sheets to ensure daily and monthly functions are completed timely and accurately.
  • Maintain service log of information systems error logs and maintenance calls.
  • Operate daily and monthly back up of the main computer system, the Windows Network(s), OTG Storage databases and all other key systems and send to off-site storage facility.
  • Record an accurate tape log and file all tapes in an organized manner.
  • Ensure scheduled batch jobs are posted timely and accurately.
  • Distribute reports to employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Respond to high priority phone and e-mail requests for technology assistance.
  • Supply technical support for issues relating to core system.
  • Provide help-desk support on computer system through assisting the end-user with software/hardware problems and inquires.
  • Provides exceptional service to all Members, volunteers, internal team members, and service providers.
  • Contact vendors to schedule repair and maintenance work on system hardware and order additional hardware, parts and supplies.
  • Uphold established department service standards.
  • Review all Creations, Deletions, and modifications of existing and new users on a daily basis for Symitar and Windows.
  • Maintain log of user ID’s including deletions, additions, and changes.
  • Setup and maintain user security for the entire Redwood Group.
  • Ensure Proper encryption of all data being sent from and received by Redwood Group staff to outside vendors.
  • Respond to alarms (water, smoke, and communication line failure) in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Organize data room and surrounding areas and ensure OSHA standards.
