About The Position

The IT Analyst I - Software Asset Management Analyst position is a temporary role within the Division of Technology Services (DTS) for the State of Utah. The selected candidate will work primarily from home, assisting with the management of software procurement, distribution, and audits for the State Executive Branch. This role involves collaboration with various agencies and vendors to ensure effective software management and compliance.

Requirements

• Knowledge of software licensing, renewals, and day-to-day management of software.
• Understanding of principles, theories, and practices of inventory control.
• Familiarity with Microsoft and Adobe license agreements and software licensing structures.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage software inventory including order tracking, distribution, installation, billing, key management, audit, and reconciliation.
• Develop logs and reports related to software management.
• Assist customers in finding products, making selections, and purchasing items.
