About The Position

The IT System Administrator is vital to expanding system administration capacity within the IT team, enabling senior technical staff to dedicate their efforts to strategic, high-value projects. This role provides advanced technical support throughout the organization, serving as an escalation point for Tier 1 issues and assisting with a wide range of system administration duties. The position is responsible for troubleshooting complex challenges, ensuring optimal system performance, and bolstering infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Possess basic networking knowledge, proficient with Office applications, and familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users, maintain a proactive and detail-oriented mindset, and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong documentation and repeatable processes, along with effective collaboration with internal teams and MSP partners
  • High school diploma or equivalent required with some technical training strongly preferred.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience with Active Directory and Entra ID required
  • Previous Tier II Tech Support experience supporting Windows desktops and users working in off-site locations and remote.

Nice To Haves

  • Intune experience is a plus.
  • Scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell and Python, are highly preferred, and recommended experience with ticketing systems, RMM tools, and MSP environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support system administration and assist with Intune management and policy deployment.
  • Maintain workstation imaging and Autopilot processes, support RBAC administration and user provisioning, and participate in system patching and maintenance.
  • Assume ownership in administering specific systems alongside the IT Supervisor.
  • Work closely with IT Technicians to resolve escalated technical issues, support workstation deployments and technology refresh projects.
  • Contribute to onboarding and offboarding technical tasks and document infrastructure processes.
  • Execute processes developed by the IT Supervisor, assist with testing and deploying new automation tools, and facilitate the transition from manual to automated workflows.
