About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance and administration of our internal network and will also assist with customer intake, data import/migration, and Tier 2/3 support. This is a hybrid position which requires approximately 40% onsite attendance in our Cincinnati office. Division of duties will vary from week to week, but a mix of roughly 60% consulting / 40% IT administration is expected.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in a small or midsized organization involving technical ownership of network, servers, and software
  • Strong understanding of network technology and concepts, including routers, switches, wireless endpoints, etc.
  • Good working understanding of SQL, including basic server administration and ability to create and execute SQL queries
  • Pleasant and diplomatic demeanor when working with client technical and project teams
  • High level of ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vmWare or other enterprise hypervisors such as Hyper-V
  • Basic Azure administration experience (app registrations, Entra ID, user/groups, etc.)
  • Experience working with or within law firms is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer data needs and assist with migration of data from on-premises and cloud sources to BEC database formats
  • Act as primary technical contact for clients on assigned projects; assist with client Entra ID setup, Exchange configuration, Azure app registration, and similar technical objectives
  • Prepare and revise technical articles and documentation, such as installation guides and KB articles, as needed
  • Manage the internal network, including servers, hardware, workstations, VPNs, and other system components, in our Cincinnati office
  • Coordinate with IT staff at our parent organization to ensure that corporate IT policies and security processes are implemented and consistently followed
  • Install and update software and hardware as needed; anticipate and report future needs for system replacement or augmentation
  • Perform regular backups of network data and take other necessary steps to ensure data integrity
  • Maintain inventories of hardware, software, and other technology assets; manage related contracts and provide invoices
  • Perform occasional after-hours and weekend administrative tasks, including installation of upgrades and patches, as required
  • Provide occasional technical support as needed to employees regarding network connectivity and similar issues
