About The Position

We're looking for an IT Administrator to join as the second member of our IT team. You'll work alongside our IT & InfoSec Manager and take ownership of day-to-day IT operations, managing MCIM’s internal IT infrastructure, supporting employees across all systems and devices, and transitioning the organization from an outsourced IT provider to a fully internally managed environment. This individual will lead the deployment and administration of device management, endpoint security, cloud systems, and networking tools while providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support. The ideal candidate will have experience in mixed Windows and Mac environments, a strong troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to independently implement scalable IT systems and security best practices. This isn't a "reset passwords and close tickets" role. You'll have real ownership over our endpoint fleet, employee lifecycle processes, and IT tooling. You'll be the go-to person for keeping our team productive and our systems running smoothly, while contributing to our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance efforts.

  • Experience with cloud application management including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other SaaS platforms.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including VPN, firewall, and NAT.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deploy and implement technical tools, not just manage existing systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-support mindset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cisco and/or Ubiquiti networking equipment preferred. Bonus: experience with AWS EC2.

  • CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support for in-office and remote employees across all systems and applications.
  • Manage onboarding, provisioning, and offboarding processes, ensuring timely access setup and termination in accordance with internal SLAs.
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Mac devices, ensuring security compliance and patch management.
  • Manage and deploy RMM / IT Asset Management (ITAM) platforms.
  • Implement and manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Transition IT operations from an outsourced MSP model to internally managed platforms.
  • Configure dashboards, policies, and monitoring tools aligned with company security and compliance requirements.
  • Administer cloud applications including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Slack, Monday.com, and other SaaS tools.
  • Manage user access controls, permissions, and integrations across cloud systems.
  • Maintain and support networking equipment and configurations, including VPN, firewall, and NAT (Cisco preferred).
