About The Position

Peraton is hiring an ISSO Support Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a Peraton location. As an ISSO Support Systems Engineer on our team you will provide ISSO/ISSM support to the PMO. You will lead ISSOs, SA’s and other applicable team members and identify, guide, task, manage, monitor and report all tasks related to SSP and other ISSM/ISSE/ISSO activities. You will contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for systems and networking operations. You will also be required to interact with customers, IT staff and high-level government officers to define and achieve required IA objectives for Enterprise-level support to classified programs, capabilities and enterprise architectures. #AJCM

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Must be familiar with and have experience using XACTA
  • Must have experience establishing and maintaining SSPs
  • Must understand the Government ISSE/ISSO/ISSM processes
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
  • Demonstrated Information System Security Engineering expertise with a strong knowledge in both current and legacy Security Risk Management Framework (certification & accreditation) processes and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze user requirements using the governing security requirements to develop any security documentation.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

  • Network Engineering experience a plus
  • Demonstrated teamwork & flexibility in developing realistic, achievable solutions for a variety of systems security engineering and program management endeavors.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting to complete assigned tasks within expected schedule to complete
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
