About The Position

Power Drives, Inc. is a Buffalo‑based manufacturer specializing in custom‑engineered hose, tube, and fluid conveyance systems for a wide range of industrial and mobile equipment applications. Objective Achieve growth and meet sales targets by effectively leading and managing the sales team. Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and strengthens market presence. Provide objective setting, coaching, and performance monitoring for sales representatives. Deliver profit contribution while aligning departmental goals with the company’s overall strategic direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related industry in a sales or technical role
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through others
  • Demonstrated success as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities while using time and resources effectively
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus
  • Proficient with email, internet applications, MS Office, CRM systems, and related tools
  • Strong business acumen and industry knowledge
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to develop strategies and execute through staff

Responsibilities

  • Manage outside sales teams and Retail Store Managers, including setting goals and objectives, monitoring performance versus budget, and reviewing results with direct reports at least monthly
  • Manage inside sales and customer service representatives, including setting and tracking sales targets, overseeing customer service activities, and recommending improvements to sales administration processes
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Product Manager to establish appropriate inventory levels that support sales targets while meeting inventory turn goals
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager and Product Manager to determine core products, primary vendors, stocking parameters, and direct-ship items
  • Partner with the Product Manager to develop pricing strategies across product categories
  • Identify training needs for Regional Sales Managers, inside sales, and retail personnel, and coordinate with Marketing on sales literature, trade shows, vendor programs, and proactive marketing initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with core product suppliers and attend key vendor sales meetings as needed
