You'll be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our railway communications, enhancing the reliability and safety of our services. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (including train crews, technical staff, and customer service representatives), supervising the maintenance and strategic deployment of communication systems, and much more.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities: Min 2-3 years
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with crisis management and strategic communication planning
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage diverse teams
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication plans: Min 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and managerial leadership to the communication staff
  • Overseeing the installation and maintenance of wayside and telecommunications systems
  • Coordinating with train crews, host railroads, and other stakeholders for operational issues
  • Proactively monitoring train operations to address and manage delays or disruptions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop content, campaigns, and events
  • Developing and implementing communication plans for key projects
  • Managing customer requests and concerns effectively
  • Ensuring all communication activities align with organizational goals
  • Demonstrating strong leadership and adaptability in various situations
  • Maintaining technical knowledge of railway communication systems and continuous learning for improvement
