About The Position

This position is for a Software Test Engineer to support production testing, software debugging, and code updates for Lockheed Martin's Infrared Search and Track (IRST) program. The IRST system detects and tracks objects that emit electromagnetic radiation (infrared signatures) passively, enabling aircrews to target threats before they are detected. The role is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification. The individual will develop embedded software in C++ and an embedded operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git, and Confluence, applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools. Requirements

  • Must have interim Secret clearance to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Embedded Software
  • Perform hardware testing and requirement verification
  • Conduct, and coordinate software test activities
  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
  • Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
  • Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
