Position Summary: The Irrigation Technician is responsible for performing regular and preventative maintenance of facilities irrigation system, ordering irrigation supplies and helping around the facility when they are needed with turf maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • 0-2 years of related work experience
  • Experience pruning plants, including knowledge of frequency and timing based on type of plant
  • Working knowledge of appropriate irrigation schedules based on type of landscaping
  • Operational knowledge of landscaping equipment including how to repair equipment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (to drive gators and carts in/around the facility).
  • Good communication and customer service skills to be able to work well with other departments and provide good service internally
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in commercial or industrial landscaping preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Audit irrigation satellites, repair broken sprinkler and mainlines.
  • Test all points of connection to ensure they are properly functioning.
  • Order irrigation supplies and assist the Landscape Tech with inventory.
  • Assist with turf maintenance when needed.
