About The Position

The Irrigation and Controls Specialist will be responsible for assisting in all aspects related to the care and maintenance of vegetative and flowering plants. Focus will be split between daily analyzation of the plant conditions and monitoring of environmental, lighting, and irrigation controls of the greenhouse. This position will work with the Plant Health and Controls teams to develop and implement environmental and irrigation strategies with the goal of producing crops in line with Buckeye Relief's established quality standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Ability to pass state mandated background check
0-3 years of farming or maintenance experience
Mathematical inclination
Mechanical aptitude
Organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Enthusiasm about the Medical Marijuana Industry.
Forklift Certification

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher (horticulture or agriculture background is a plus)
1+ years of farming or maintenance experience
Experience with irrigation systems
Experience with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

Monitors plant conditions daily
Monitor environmental and irrigation control system
Assist in the development and implementation of environmental and irrigation control strategies
Performs routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment
Maintains fertigation systems, including mixing fertilizer tanks
Collects, compiles, and analyzes irrigation and environmental data. Produce reports from this data at the conclusion of each harvest
Assists with horticultural experiments
Assists with other cultivation tasks when necessary. i.e. pruning, transplanting, and moving plants
Assists with any department construction projects as needed
