About The Position

Ryan Lawn & Tree is a top-tier lawn and landscape company in the U.S., and we are growing! We are expanding our irrigation department and are looking for a skilled, motivated, and versatile Irrigation Service Tech/ Specialist to join our dedicated team.
This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing residential irrigation systems, while also providing high-touch customer service and assisting with seasonal property enhancements.

Requirements

• 1+ years in irrigation installation, service, or repair.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills are a must.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, push/pull objects, and walk at least 3 miles per day in diverse weather conditions.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• A background in irrigation sales or the ability to confidently suggest and close system upgrades.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a "client-first" attitude.
• A passion for troubleshooting and finding efficient solutions.
• A team player who is also comfortable working independently.
• A willingness to pivot from irrigation to landscape maintenance and holiday lighting as the seasons change.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial systems, including controllers, valves, heads, and piping.
• Conduct system audits and recommend water-saving upgrades.
• Identify and sell enhancements that improve the client’s property.
• Perform essential startups, shut-downs, and winterizations.
• Assist with property aesthetics through light landscape work and bed maintenance (pruning, mulching, and weeding).
• Join our team in the winter months to bring properties to life with professional Christmas light installations.
• Provide excellent account management by clearly communicating repairs and service recommendations to customers.
