About The Position

Skillforce is seeking skilled Ironworker Welders who take pride in their craft and enjoy leading by example in Peterborough, NH. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for seasoned professionals with strong experience in structural steel and precast erection. If you’re confident working independently, mentoring others, and helping crews succeed safely and efficiently, this role is for you.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ironworking experience
• Own ironworker and welding tools
• Certified in limited thickness SMAW (3G) and stainless SMAW (1G)
• Current OSHA 10-hour certification
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Connect, rig, bolt-up, and lay deck independently
• Read and interpret structural steel, precast, and deck drawings
• Perform limited thickness SMAW welding (carbon steel & stainless)
• Train and mentor crew members on proper erection and welding methods
• Lead and manage small crews through multiple phases of erection
• Maintain high production standards while prioritizing safety and teamwork
