About The Position

As an IRL Technologist you’ll perform complex donor and patient testing to determine compatibility and help ensure safe transfusions. You’ll resolve compatibility challenges, provide consultation to hospitals, and support lifesaving blood services.

Requirements

• MT (ASCP) required
• Bachelor’s degree in biological science or chemistry
• 3+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination)
• OR MLT (ASCP) with 5+ years of blood banking experience
• State license if required
• Strong communication skills and team mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform automated and manual blood bank testing
• Resolve complex serologic compatibility issues
• Provide consultation support to hospitals and transfusion services
• Manage blood sample intake, shipment, and reagent inventory
• Troubleshoot testing irregularities and support team problem-solving
• Assist with special blood product manufacturing (as applicable)
